How this site works

Everything here is free and nothing is bet. You follow The International, and if you want, you predict it against your friends for points and bragging rights.

1 · Following the tournament

You do not need an account for any of this. Open the site and it is all there.

Live & Upcoming

The rail at the top. One card per match, newest first. While a series is being played the card shows the series score as the big number — that is games won, the thing that decides who goes through. Underneath it, smaller and labelled, is the kill score in the game currently being played. Those two numbers get confused constantly, which is why they are separated.

Fixtures whose teams are not drawn yet are hidden until the draw lands. There is nothing to read in a "TBD vs TBD" card and they used to bury the real ones.

Seeing every game of a match

Anywhere you see a played match, a N GAMES button or a clickable result opens the full breakdown: a tab per game, both drafts, all ten players with hero, level, KDA, net worth, GPM, last hits, their six items, the neutral and anything left in the backpack.

It works from the live cards, the Group Stage board, the playoff bracket, and from the match list inside any team's panel — so you can read a team's whole tournament game by game.

Group Stage

Sixteen teams, Swiss format. Teams are grouped by record, not by an invented ladder position: four wins takes you straight to the playoffs and four losses puts you out. Everyone in between — 4th to 13th — plays an elimination round for the last five slots. Each team's row shows one mark per round, their latest result, and what is at stake. Tap a team for its matches and roster.

Playoffs

Double elimination. It fills in once the group stage decides who is through.

Watch

The watch page puts every live game on one screen — draft, live score, gold swing, and the stream in your language. It only appears in the footer and on live cards while something is actually being played, so it is never a dead link.

Streams run behind the game server by design, to stop players watching their own match. Where we know the delay, the stats shown next to a stream are rewound to match what you are seeing, so nothing on screen spoils the fight you are about to watch.

Prize, Qualifiers, Teams, Players, Heroes

The prize pool and how it splits by placement. The regional qualifiers that decided the field. Team rosters and ratings, the players on the highest-rated teams, and hero statistics.

2 · Prediction leagues

A league is a private group of friends predicting the same matches. Points, a leaderboard, nothing at stake.

Creating one

  1. Hit 🏆 Create League in the toolbar at the top.
  2. Give it a name and choose a rules preset — you can change every rule individually.
  3. You are the admin. You get a join code and a share link.

Adding people

Send them the share link, or give them the join code and they enter it under Join a league. There is no invite list to manage and no approving people one by one — anyone with the code is in. Only share it with people you want in it.

You can look around a league before signing up. You are only asked to make an account when you lock your first pick, and the pick you already made is kept.

Making picks

  1. Open the league, go to Predictions.
  2. For each match, tap the team you think wins, then the series score.
  3. Hit 🔒 Lock prediction.

Locking is final. Once locked you cannot change it, and it reveals what everyone else picked for that match. That is the trade: you see theirs, they see yours.

When picks close

By default a match stays open until it actually starts — not at a fixed clock time. Schedules slip constantly and a countdown that closes an hour before a match that starts two hours late just costs people picks. The admin can set a lead time if they want one.

This is enforced on the server, not in the page, so it cannot be worked around.

Tournament outcomes

Separate from match picks: who lifts the Aegis, and your top four. Worth much more than a single match, and they settle when the tournament finishes.

Leaderboard and My Picks

Leaderboard ranks everyone on points. My Picks is your own history — what you called, what happened, and what each one earned. Some bonuses (streaks, and calls nobody else made) can only be worked out once everyone's picks are in, so they land on the leaderboard rather than on the individual card.

3 · How scoring works

Every rule below can be switched on or off by the league admin, and the points changed. This is what a new league starts with:

RuleWhat earns itDefault
Winner onYou picked the team that won the series.10
Exact score onOn top of the winner, you called the scoreline exactly — you said 2–1 and it finished 2–1.15
Clean sweep onYou called a whitewash and got it: no games dropped, so 2–0 or 3–0.8
Upset bonus onYou backed the lower-ranked team and they won.10
Streak bonus onFor calling several series in a row correctly.5 each
Champion onThe team you picked to lift the Aegis wins it.50
Grand finalists onFor each team you named that reaches the grand final.25 each
Top 4 onFor each team you put in your top four that finishes top four. Order doesn't matter.20 each
Game count offRight number of games even if you backed the wrong team — 2–1 and 1–2 are the same length.6
Lone wolf offNobody else in the league called that result.5
First game offYou called who takes the opening game of the series.5
Reverse sweep offYou called a comeback from match point — losing 0–2 in a Bo5 and still winning.12
Perfect day offEvery pick you locked on a single day came in.25
Top 8 offFor each team you put in your top eight that finishes top eight.10 each
Champion from LB offA bonus if your champion wins it the hard way, from the lower bracket.20
Wrong picks cost offPoints taken off when a pick is wrong, so a guess costs you something.−5

Ties are broken first on exact-score hits, then on the champion pick.

4 · Running your own tournament

Separate from the TI tracker: run a bracket for your own group, and a permanent ladder that keeps rating teams between events.

Creating one

  1. Hit ⚔️ Create Tournament in the toolbar.
  2. Pick the format — single elimination, double elimination, groups, or Swiss.
  3. Add teams. Each team has a name and its players.
  4. The bracket generates itself once the teams are in.

Reporting results

After a match, either captain hits Report result and enters the score. You can attach the Dota match ID, which is checked against the real game so a reported result has something behind it. The other side confirms, and the bracket advances.

The ladder

Permanent, no start or end. Teams challenge each other, play, and their rating moves — a proper rating system, so beating a strong team is worth more than beating a weak one.

5 · Notifications and your phone

Match notifications

Tap the 🔔 on any match card to be told when it starts. The bell in the toolbar shows how many you are following. If you are in a league you can also be told when new matches open for predictions and when the leaderboard changes.

Your browser asks permission first and you can withdraw it at any time in your browser or phone settings. On iPhone, notifications only work if you have added the site to your home screen.

Putting it on your phone

Open the app page. It installs like a normal app, works offline for anything already loaded, and updates itself.

6 · Common questions

Is this gambling? Can I win money?

No, and no. There is no entry fee, no stake, no wagering and no prize of any value — not money, not goods, not credit. Leagues are private groups of friends playing for points and bragging rights only. Nothing on this site can be bought, sold or cashed out.

Do I need an account?

Only to lock predictions. Watching the tournament, reading the bracket, the teams, the game histories and the watch page all work signed out.

Why is the score different from what my stream shows?

Streams are delayed by a few minutes on purpose, so players cannot watch their own game. The site shows what has actually happened on the game server, which is ahead of your stream. The watch page rewinds its stats to match the delay, so use that if you want no spoilers.

A score looks wrong.

Match data comes from Valve, OpenDota and Liquipedia, and each one lags differently. The site prefers the fastest reliable source and corrects itself within a few minutes. If something is still wrong after that, tell us — the address is at the bottom of this page.

Can I change a prediction after locking it?

No. Locking reveals what everyone else picked for that match, so letting you change yours afterwards would break the whole thing.

I missed a match — can I still predict it?

Not once it has started. The cut-off is enforced on the server, so it is the same for everyone, including the league admin.

I did not get my confirmation email.

Check spam first. If you have signed up with that address before, no new email is sent — that is deliberate, so strangers cannot probe which addresses are registered. Sign in instead, or reset your password.

Can I change my nickname?

Yes, from your account menu. It updates everywhere, including leagues you have already joined.

Who runs this?

A fan-made, non-commercial project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Valve Corporation. There are no ads and nothing is sold.

7 · Your account and your data

We hold as little as possible: the email address you signed up with, your nickname, the predictions you make, and — only if you turned notifications on — the anonymous address your browser gives us to send them to. No tracking, no analytics, no advertising, nothing sold or shared.

You can have your account deleted at any time. It removes your profile, your league memberships, every prediction you made and your notification subscription, permanently. Email support@dota2tileague.com from the address you signed up with and we'll do it.
